Former mayor of South Dumdum Municipality, Pachu Roy, faced another round of questioning by Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials in connection with the appointment corruption case. Emerging from the ED office on Monday afternoon, Pachu accused officials of receiving orders to harass Trinamool leadership, asserting that the ED had called him with the intention of "harassing" him.
Pachu narrated his experience, noting that he initially visited the ED office late on Friday night, where officials asked him to return. Following this, he reappeared on Monday at 11 am as instructed, only to wait until 1 pm before being asked to leave.
Pachu clarified that his visit was related to the data extraction process from two mobile phones and two laptops seized during a search of his house. The former Trinamool councilor expressed frustration, claiming he had no involvement with illicit funds and was being subjected to unwarranted "harassment." Pachu is implicated in the case of irregularities in municipal appointments and has faced previous interrogations.
